Obama being on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis doesn’t bother me, other being forced to say/type Galifianakis which is exhausting.
It’s 2014 and it is an outdated belief that President’s should stay in their ivory towers and only speak with dignified reporters.
The first half of the “Interview” is pretty funny. “How does it feel to be the last Black President.” and the Basketball lines were hilarious. It’s good to see Obama have some sense of humor. Then it came to a screeching halt, the ridiculous sales pitch that Obama started spewing was bad even for nauseating sales pitches.
A simple line about Obamacare and a link at the end of the episode would have done the job, instead Obama starts “Droning” on about all the ways you can sign up.
I’m not nearly as qualified as Obama’s advisers are on marketing strategy. But I feel if you are on the set of a internet web show, you can safely assume that everyone who will see the video has a computer or at the very least a cellphone. Obama made an interesting move to appeal to a digital audience and then bored them to death with analog blather.
The coolest President isn’t as cool as he thinks he is nor are we interested in hearing more Obamacare pitches.
