It may not be surprising to find out that there is an openly gay man running for a congressional seat in California…however it is a bit of a surprise that he is a Republican.
I just don’t understand it… How can someone put their belief that the Left’s policies are bad for the country ahead of practicing divisive identity driven politics?
Of course the Left is coming after DeMaio hard. They showed with their assault on Sarah Palin and Herman Cain that they can’t accept the success of any “Minority” that doesn’t come from government support or the Democratic party. Palin and Cain set the bad example that “Classical Liberal” economic policies and hard work can overcome any disadvantage. It’s good to see Carl DeMaio also setting that example for not only the gay community, but all people.
